Sophie ca.1820-1840

by Mary Koval

In The Sophie collection, Mary Koval proudly draws inspiration from fabrics that herald from Provence, France. Rich in design, the main floral print in Sophie is c.1820-1840. An exquisite piece of cloth originally printed on linen, this fabric provided (and still provides on cotton) many end uses such as table coverings, soft home furnishing, accessories and (of course) quilts. The red hue is considered a true Turkey red and the blue shade is a true Provence. Since our Sophie group of fabrics have the feel of Provence, we have provided two breathtaking medallion quilting projects that reflect and pay homage their era of origin. 19 SKUs. On Sale January 2015. In stores July 2015.
